Litha Incense

Litha marks the wheel of the year when summer is at its height. This Sabbat is also known as Midsummer and is celebrated on the summer solstice – the longest day of the year. Litha is all about the Sun, so get outside and honour the Solar Deities as this is the time at which the Holly King takes over from the Oak King - who will reign from now until Yule – the winter solstice.

Litha is an excellent time to conduct healing magick and rituals and to perform prosperity and abundance spells, for magick aimed at success, strength, growth, wisdom, energy and optimism, along with love spells, luck magick and engaging in and enhancing your divination practices. Spells for male potency and virility are also exceptionally powerful on this Sabbat. Engage in rituals that bolster your confidence, increase your self-esteem and reflect your sense of worth and value as you are as much a part of the universe as any other living thing and are just as important! Made with herbs, resins and woods associated with Litha, including sandalwood, chamomile, benzoin and vervain along with an amber and lavender fragrance oil, burn this incense to celebrate the height of summer, the strength of the sun and for any spells or rituals aimed at prosperity, abundance, gratitude, joy, success, strength, growth, wisdom, energy and optimism, along with love spells and luck magick.

Incense is sold in packs of 6 cones and all incense is hand-crafted with organic ingredients, including cedarwood sawdust and makko powder (also known as Tabu no ki) from the bark of the Machilus thunbergii tree. This all-natural organic powder acts as a binder which holds the cones together and helps to regulate how they burn. There are no fillers, additives or artificial fragrances in any incense that I make, except for musk oil which is only available as a synthetic fragrance for ethical reasons.

Each cone is weighed to between 3 to 3.5 grams before being dried to ensure uniformity in size and end up being about 1" tall. Given that they are handmade, there may be some variation in shape. Each cone burns for approximately 20 minutes.
